The Rare Disease Key Account Manager (KAM) works with stakeholders across assigned health systems, specialty clinics, infusion centers, and other sites of care to reduce time to diagnosis, improve appropriate patient identification, and accelerate access to treatment. The role identifies account-level operational and access barriers and develops targeted strategies to support appropriate therapy access, clinic readiness, buy-and-bill operations, and a reliable patient and customer experience across the rare disease treatment journey. The KAM develops account plans aligned with customer priorities and Amgen portfolio objectives, leads commercial contracting opportunities, supports durable access solutions, and evaluates buy-and-bill workflows. The role also coordinates with cross-functional partners, shares actionable field insights, monitors account performance, maintains account documentation, and leads planning for priority account initiatives. The position requires approximately 40–60% travel within the assigned geography.
