About The Position
The Seasonal Ramp/Warehouse Agent works as part of a team to provide safe, efficient aircraft services and a high level of customer service, helping keep passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time. The role includes handling freight and cargo, verifying shipment information, obtaining required security documents, and safely operating equipment. The position is part-time and seasonal, based at Orlando International Airport (MCO), with PM shifts Monday through Friday until the aircraft departs. Some weekends are required, and the schedule may change. Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process is required for this location.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process required for this location.
- Three-year U.S. residency required for Postal Clearance.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
- Must be able to verbally direct in English.
- Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds at times.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 15 feet in height.
- Able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight safely, including building up and breaking down cargo pallets and freight containers according to guidelines.
- Maintain equipment certifications and operate equipment safely.
- Obtain proper security documents for all shipments.
- Verify shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness upon receipt from the customer.
- Verify shipment pieces and airway bill numbers upon delivery to the customer.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information.
- Deal tactfully with employees at all levels and client representatives.
- Read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English, and verbally direct in English.
