About The Position

Menzies Aviation Ramp Agents unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, including in the outbound bag room and baggage claim area. They drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles to transport baggage and cargo between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities. The role requires heavy lifting and other physical activity, and involves working outdoors and around aircraft and airport equipment. The position pays $21.00 per hour and includes a $40 monthly bus/train voucher or free airport parking.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
Must pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen, FBI background check, and employment history check.
Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to continuously lift and move 70 pounds of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft.
Must meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and occasional lifting or moving of up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

Load and unload luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft.
Transport cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities using vehicles.
Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
Ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with health, safety, security, and government requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Dig and shovel, including snow removal around equipment and offices, and remove debris.
