About The Position

Silver Dollar City is seeking individuals who play Ragtime Piano to join their Entertainment team for the 2026 season. This is a seasonal, part-time position running from May 26, 2026, to August 24, 2026. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and are required to submit an application and audition. The audition requires a video submission of two songs in the applicant's best style, with a verse and chorus of each song being sufficient.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to communicate efficiently.
  • Expressive abilities, poise, stage presence, and feel for music are required.
  • Live stage performance experience is required.
  • Formal training in music theory is required.
  • The ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum.
  • The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously.
  • The ability to perform choreographed actions related to performing frequently.
  • The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions.
  • The ability to work in extreme weather occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to read sheet music is preferred.
  • Previous experience in theme park, theater, and amateur or professional productions is preferred.
  • Singing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Rehearse parts to learn songs, lines, and cues as directed.
  • Read music and play in an ensemble during rehearsals and performances.
  • Wear costumes to enhance appearance and portrayal of character or role.
