Radiology Technologist (Part Time)
About The Position
Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a part-time Radiology Technologist for weekend day shifts. The role conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies within the technologist’s demonstrated competency and under the direction of a qualified physician. Duties include positioning patients to demonstrate the correct anatomy or pathology; operating radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems; preparing the patient room, equipment, and medications; and maintaining adequate supply inventory. The technologist explains examinations and procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation. The listed weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday, either 7 a.m.–5 p.m. or 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Flexible scheduling options are available, including a rotating shift covering every other weekend and select weekdays. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- Graduate of a trade school in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT (R) certification required at time of hire.
- BLS.
Responsibilities
