About The Position

Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Radiology Technologist performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. The technologist demonstrates good clinical skills and provides the best possible images for interpretation, applies principles of radiation protection, and complies with regulations. The role assumes responsibility for a designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. The technologist follows Corewell Health’s Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy at all times.

This part-time position is based at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status. The schedule has variable weekday hours (1:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m.) and weekend rotation hours (9 p.m.–7 a.m.), with 20 scheduled hours per week and every-other-weekend work.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)-accredited Radiography program.
• Radiologic Technologist registration (ARRT) required within 180 days.
• Radiographer (R) certification through ARRT required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
• Training gained at student level.
