About The Position

Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Radiology Technologist performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. The technologist demonstrates good clinical skills and produces the best possible images for interpretation, applies radiation protection principles, and complies with applicable regulations. The role assumes responsibility for a designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. The technologist follows Corewell Health’s Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy at all times.

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status. The position is part time, with 20 scheduled hours per week, variable hours and days, and every other weekend. Weekday hours are listed as 1:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; weekend rotation hours are 9 p.m.–7 a.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program.
• Radiologic Technologist Registration (ARRT) required within 180 days.
• ARRT Radiographer (R) required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire, or BLS certification from the American Red Cross required upon hire.
• Training gained at the student level.
