About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is hiring a Radiology Technologist II for its Radiology Diagnostics department at Bridgton Hospital in Bridgton, Maine. This full-time night-shift position performs diagnostic imaging procedures according to department protocols and serves as a first point of contact for customers, helping meet their imaging needs. The technologist contributes to quality and performance improvement activities and may oversee the radiology area or staff when the Manager or Director is absent.

The role also includes maintaining supplies, equipment, and scheduling for assigned subdepartments, supporting teamwork and customer service, and processing and transmitting images to PACS. The listed compensation is $33.00–$41.26 per hour. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Hold licensure and a fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
• Appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required, effective July 1, 2017.
• Maintain current BCLS (AHA).
• Be familiar with state and federal regulations.
• Have proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of acute clinical radiography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
• Serve as the first-line interface with customers and help accomplish their imaging needs.
• Participate in PI/QC activities and assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
• Oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager's or Director's absence.
• Maintain department supplies.
• Promote teamwork and good customer service.
• Schedule for assigned subdepartments and maintain their supplies and equipment.
• Process and transmit images to PACS.
