About The Position

Desert Valley Hospital is seeking a Radiology Tech II to perform diagnostic imaging services according to department protocols. The role serves as a primary interface with customers and helps meet their imaging needs. The technologist participates in performance improvement and quality control activities, helps maintain the Performance Improvement Program, and may oversee the radiology area or staff in the Manager’s or Director’s absence. The position also supports scheduling for assigned subdepartments, maintains supplies and equipment, promotes teamwork and good customer service, and processes and transmits images to PACS. Requirements

Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
Appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required.
Current BCLS (AHA).
Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of acute clinical radiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiography, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
Serve as a first-line interface with customers and help accomplish their imaging needs.
Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities.
Assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
Oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager’s or Director’s absence.
Maintain department supplies.
Promote teamwork and good customer service.
Schedule for assigned subdepartments and maintain their supplies and equipment.
Process and transmit images to PACS.
