About The Position

Desert Valley Hospital is hiring a Radiology Tech II for Diagnostic Radiology. The role performs diagnostic imaging procedures according to department protocols and serves as a first-line point of contact for customers, helping meet their imaging needs. The position also supports quality and performance improvement activities, maintains supplies and equipment, schedules assigned subdepartments, and processes and transmits images to PACS. The technologist may oversee the radiology area and/or staff when the Manager or Director is absent.

Requirements

Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
Appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required, effective July 1, 2017.
Current BCLS (AHA).
Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of acute clinical radiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiography, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
Serve as the first-line interface with customers and help accomplish their imaging needs.
Participate in PI/QC activities and assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
Oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager's or Director's absence.
Maintain department supplies.
Promote teamwork and good customer service.
Schedule for assigned subdepartments and maintain their supplies and equipment.
Process and transmit images to PACS.
