About The Position

The Radiology Tech II works in Diagnostic Radiology at Bridgton Hospital in Bridgton, Maine. The role performs diagnostic imaging procedures according to department protocols, serves as a first point of contact for customers, and supports patients’ imaging needs. The position also contributes to quality and performance improvement activities and may oversee the radiology area or staff in the absence of the Manager or Director. Requirements

Hold state licensure and a fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
Hold appropriate national certifications in two modalities.
Maintain current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Be familiar with state and federal regulations.
Graduate from a JRCERT-accredited program.
Have proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of acute clinical radiography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
Serve as the first-line interface with customers and help accomplish their imaging needs.
Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities.
Assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
Oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager’s or Director’s absence.
Maintain department supplies.
Promote teamwork and good customer service.
Schedule for assigned subdepartments and maintain their supplies and equipment.
Process and transmit images to PACS.
