About The Position
Under the direction of a physician, the Radiology Tech performs radiographic examinations for sports medicine and orthopedic surgeons within the scope of their practice. The role is based in a clinic work environment and uses digital radiography (DR) equipment and a processor. The primary schedule described is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Full-time roles in Sterling Heights and a part-time option in the Detroit area are also available.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited imaging program.
- ARRT certification or registry eligibility; candidates must obtain ARRT within one year post-graduation.
- BLS certification.
- State license if required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree.
- 1–3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
- Assess patients.
- Assist the physician in performing X-ray procedures.
- Maintain patient and departmental records, supplies, and equipment.
- Perform other related tasks.
