We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team and help deliver high-quality imaging services in a supportive, patient-centered environment. In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging exams using radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, and other imaging equipment. You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team, helping ensure each patient receives a safe, comfortable, and seamless imaging experience. You will be assigned to one designated radiography area, such as Inpatient, Outpatient, or Emergency Room imaging. Based on department needs and with appropriate training, you may also support alternate locations or Mass General Brigham sites to help maintain excellent patient care and coverage.

Requirements

  • Radiography certificate or diploma required.
  • ARRT registration required within 90 days of hire.
  • State Radiologic Technologist/Technician license required.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation physics, ALARA principles, radiographic equipment, and positioning.
  • Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., including linens, supplies, and assisting with patients as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Radiography preferred.
  • 0–1 year of radiology technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm the correct patient and exam through patient interview, medical record review, and appropriate documentation.
  • Explain exams, safety protocols, and procedures in a way that supports patient understanding and comfort.
  • Adjust equipment settings and technical factors to safely and effectively capture diagnostic images.
  • Perform imaging exams according to department protocols and Radiologist requests.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and other equipment as needed.
  • Ensure exams are correctly labeled and successfully transmitted to PACS.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and infection control situations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and composure.
