About The Position

Stone Oak Surgicenter, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to work in its ambulatory surgery center. Under the direction of a physician, the technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes and support HCA's mission to care for and improve human life.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technician.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• State Radiology Technician license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Assess patient condition before and during radiologic procedures.
• Assemble the supplies and positioning aids needed for procedures according to the physician’s preference card.
• Test and monitor equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Document records and forms accurately in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
• Confirm that everyone in the room is appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
• Communicate patient status to other staff responsible for the patient's care.
• Maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment by following cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures.
