About The Position

Specialty Surgery Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to work in its ambulatory surgery center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the direction of a physician, the technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols to support positive patient outcomes and the HCA mission to care for and improve human life.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience in an operating room or surgery center setting.

Responsibilities

Assemble the supplies and positioning aids needed for scheduled procedures according to the physician’s preference card.
Test and monitor equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
Complete records and other forms accurately and in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
Confirm that everyone in the room is appropriately shielded before activating x-ray equipment.
Communicate information about patients’ status to other staff responsible for their care.
Maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment by following cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures.
