About The Position

The Radiology Tech performs radiographic exams in an orthopedic practice under the direction of the Practice Manager and with minimal supervision. The role also supports daily patient care and office processes, maintains imaging records and department standards, and assists in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Active ARRT certification.
• KROC within 90 days of hire.
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams using general equipment, C-arm, portable equipment, and other equipment as needed.
• Carry out responsibilities assigned by the Practice Manager.
• Transport patients to and from the exam room as necessary.
• Help maintain cleanliness and order in the department.
• Manipulate computerized image data to obtain interpretive information and filmed images, and to archive images.
• Maintain records and chart information related to individual cases.
• Follow the dress code and complete all quality assurance requirements.
• Practice universal precautions and use personal protective equipment.
• Collect patient histories and related information, coordinating and communicating with the radiologist and others as needed.
• Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
