Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology
About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. As a Locum Radiology MD, you will play a vital role in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, supporting referring physicians, and ensuring timely, accurate diagnoses that directly impact patient care. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals within the Medical Practice industry, contributing to a practice known for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board eligible or board certified in Radiology
- Associate-level experience in radiology practice
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with radiology information systems and PACS
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to work on-site in Tampa on a contract basis
- Must be board-certified

Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards in radiology practice
- Review and correlate clinical history with imaging findings
- Communicate critical findings promptly to appropriate clinical staff
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities
- Stay current with advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
- Provide consultation and guidance to medical staff on imaging-related matters
- Adhere to hospital and practice protocols for imaging procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the radiology department
