Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiology
About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position that offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled radiologist to provide essential diagnostic imaging services while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a patient-focused clinical environment. In this locum radiology role, you will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to support accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning. You will collaborate closely with referring physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to ensure timely and precise reporting that directly contributes to positive patient outcomes across the medical practice.
Requirements
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
- Associate-level experience in radiology or diagnostic imaging
- Board certification or board eligibility in Radiology
- Valid medical license in good standing to practice in the applicable jurisdiction
- Proficiency in interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging modalities
- Strong analytical and diagnostic decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and physician collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team
- Current BLS or ACLS certification preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and radiology information systems (RIS) preferred

Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely radiology reports to referring physicians
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment
- Ensure compliance with all applicable medical regulations, safety standards, and clinical protocols
- Review patient histories and prior imaging to provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments
- Communicate critical findings promptly to attending physicians and clinical staff
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all radiological interpretations
- Participate in quality assurance activities and peer review processes
- Stay current with advancements in radiological technology and diagnostic techniques
- Provide consultation and guidance to clinical colleagues on imaging-related matters
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety guidelines at all times
- Support the medical practice in meeting patient care and operational goals
