About The Position

This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an associate-level physician to provide essential eye care services in a community-focused clinical setting. As a Locum Ophthalmologist, you will deliver comprehensive eye care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of ocular conditions. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest standard of vision care in the Medical Practice industry.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
• Associate-level experience in clinical ophthalmology
• Strong diagnostic and surgical skills
• Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based practice
• Commitment to high-quality patient care
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
• Ability to adapt quickly to a locum assignment
• BLS and DEA required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmology consultations and examinations
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries as required
• Prescribe and manage medications and corrective lenses
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
• Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients on eye health and preventive care
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations and clinical standards
• Participate in patient follow-up and continuity of care
• Stay current with advancements in ophthalmic treatments
• Provide urgent care for acute eye conditions as needed
