About The Position
This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide essential diagnostic imaging services within the Medical Practice industry. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning. You will collaborate closely with referring physicians and healthcare teams to deliver timely, high-quality radiology services that directly impact patient care and clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Radiology
- Valid medical license in good standing
- Associate-level experience in diagnostic radiology
- Proficiency in interpreting X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
- Familiarity with radiology information systems and PACS
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with radiology best practices
- Must be able to read screenings, diagnostics, MRIs, etc.
- Procedures: Tomosynthesis, image-guided biopsies (US, MRI, stereotactic, etc.), and localization procedures
Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment
- Ensure compliance with radiology protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Review patient histories and clinical data to inform imaging interpretations
- Consult with physicians on imaging findings and recommended follow-up procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all imaging studies and reports
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities
- Stay current with advances in radiology technology and diagnostic techniques
- Provide guidance and support to radiology technologists and support staff
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with patients when necessary regarding imaging procedures
