About The Position

This role involves managing the Radiology departments, ensuring high-quality work, maintaining a safe environment, and supervising staff. The manager will be responsible for developing policies, managing budgets, ensuring adequate supplies, and overseeing the performance of tests and procedures. The position also requires on-call services, including rotating weekends and holidays, and adherence to patient rights and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree with major in medical technology or related science
  • Retain a N.D. state license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update and interpret policies and procedures for the Radiology departments in accordance with regulations.
  • Ensure all tests ordered are performed in accordance with urgency and stat response requirements.
  • Supervise, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate Radiology employees. Ensure competency of all staff within both departments.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in accordance with established Universal Precautions and sanitary, safety and infection prevention policies and procedures, making sure all required information is documented appropriately.
  • Assist in establishing budgets and managing finances of the departments.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  • Promptly report all accidents, incidents, unsafe and hazardous conditions and equipment and ensure that established safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
  • Prepare for and attend all required meetings.
  • Perform high-quality work with accuracy, speed, safety and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure patient safety while performing all duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform tests requiring routine and/or complex instrumentation according to prescribed procedure.
  • Record workload.
  • Research and develop new procedures.
  • Make decisions on the types of tests that will be performed.
  • Contact manufacturers or distributors regarding problems or questions concerning their products.
  • Troubleshoot procedures.
  • Receive written or oral requisitions for tests.
  • Record information in log.
  • Perform on-call services as scheduled including rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Know and comply with Residents' and Patients' Rights rules.
  • Maintain Patient Confidentiality and protect Patient Information.
  • Attend and participate in orientation, training, mandatory education, in-services, staff meetings, and education courses as instructed to further improve knowledge and skills, including Incident Command System training (ICS) for emergency preparedness.
  • Treat Patients, Residents, Visitors and Co-workers with kindness, dignity and respect at all times.
