About The Position

Responsible for coordination of staff, equipment, and supply resources on a daily basis to meet the demands of the Radiology department. Has the authority to discipline, enforce policy and procedure, and direct activities of department staff. Provides recommendations on the hiring or termination of staff. Responsible for staff assignments, monthly schedules, and flexing of staff as needed. May perform as the Clinical Instructor for the department. Responsible for assuring clinical care services are available to the community. Supports daily operations in CT, Fluoro and xray. Assists with, QA resolution, data base monitoring and physician access. Serves as role model to all staff for deployment of Service Excellence Standards. Makes changes and staff adjustments in order to meet Premiere Productivity Standards.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California., Radiologic Health Section, Department of Health.
  • Must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital radiology department, preferably with supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise independent judgment
  • Skilled in a variety of software applications
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Able to adapt exam routines and techniques when necessary to optimize quality of exam
  • Must have intricate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and basic understanding of human physiology
  • Ability to work closely with Radiologist, hospital staff, peers and Referring Physicians
  • Must have working knowledge of all facets of Nuclear Imaging and processing techniques, equipment and radiation safety

Nice To Haves

  • Obtain Fluoroscopy permit within two years of employment.
  • preferably with supervisory experience
