About The Position

The Manager-Radiology demonstrates accountability for radiology through effective management of personnel and financial resources to achieve quality patient outcomes for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and support institutional goals. Under the general direction of the Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for daily operations in the assigned area 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Requirements

• Three years of progressive clinical or supervisory experience in Radiology, including technical supervising and management skills.
• Three years of experience in a high-volume radiology setting, with knowledge of radiation therapy equipment.
• Radiology skills and proficiency in the field’s concepts, principles, and techniques, acquired by meeting the requirements to be eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan for, implement the use of, and evaluate services and equipment to meet customer needs and enhance the department’s contribution to hospital outcomes.
• Direct radiology functions through personnel scheduling and evaluation, supply acquisition, organization of clinical activities, and communication within the department and with other services to deliver efficient and accurate patient care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Administer performance-improvement activities to ensure quality is consistent with established standards.
• Support learning needs by directing educational activities that promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient-care standards.
