About The Position

MercyOne Northeast Iowa provides personalized health care across eight counties and operates three medical centers, with 491 licensed beds and 24-hour emergency care. MercyOne Medical Group – Northeast Iowa includes more than 30 primary care and specialty clinics throughout the region.

The Radiology Care Coordination Specialist coordinates patients’ next level of service, care, or needs within Imaging services. The specialist serves as a resource for patients, families, and physicians seeking assistance and collaborates with imaging modalities to coordinate patient schedules efficiently. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the day shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of post-high-school medical education.
• At least one year of clinical oncology health care or hospital-based experience.
• Interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with patients and medical staff.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to work autonomously and be self-directed, with sound judgment and decision-making.
• Organizational skills to develop and manage multiple monitoring systems.
• Proficiency with computer databases and software, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to problem-solve effectively with internal and external customers and systems.
• Comfort working in a collaborative environment.
• Honesty, integrity, and caring, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in support of Trinity Health’s philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values.

• Associate degree.
• Prior Epic experience.
