About The Position

The Staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The nurse coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units and ensures that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standard of care. The nurse uses nursing skills to determine patients' and families' biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs, and develops, implements, and revises the plan of care.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current RN license in the State of California.
• BLS certification.
• Newly graduated nurses, re-entry nurses, and nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.
• For those working at QVH, annual 1 hour of Stroke Education is required.
• For those working at QVH Med/Surg 5th Floor, annual 4 hours of Orthopedic Education is required.
