About The Position

The Staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. As a clinical practitioner, the RN coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned unit. The RN ensures that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit’s standard of care. The RN uses nursing skills to assess patients’ and families’ biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs and to develop, implement, and revise the plan of care.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the State of California.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within three months of hire or transfer.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification “A” required within three months of hire or transfer.
• Annual eight hours of Stroke Education required for employees working at QVH.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Newly graduated nurses, re-entry nurses, and nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program.

Nice To Haves

• One year of critical care experience is preferred.
