About The Position

The Staff RN is a professional caregiver accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN coordinates and implements care appropriate to the age of patients on the assigned unit and ensures care is delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently with the unit’s standards. The RN assesses patients’ biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs and uses those findings to develop, implement, and revise the plan of care.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the State of California.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within three months.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Newly graduated nurses, re-entry nurses, and nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.
• For employees working at QVH in ICU, CCU, or Neuro Departments, or at FPH in ICU/CCU or DOU: NIH Stroke Scale Certification “A” is required within three months of hire or transfer.
• For employees working at QVH in ICU, CCU, or Neuro Departments: eight hours of Stroke Education annually.

Nice To Haves

• One year of critical care experience is preferred.
