About The Position

The Staff RN is a professional caregiver responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN coordinates and implements patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned units, ensuring care is high quality, efficient, safe, and consistent with the unit’s standard of care. The role uses nursing skills to assess patients’ and families’ biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs and to develop, implement, and revise plans of care.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current RN license in the State of California.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire or transfer.
• Chemo Certification required within one year of hire or transfer.
• One hour of annual Stroke Education required for employees working at QVH.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.
• Newly graduated nurses, re-entry nurses, and nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program.
