About The Position

The Quotations Specialist manages the quotations process from receiving a request through submitting a quote to the customer. The role works with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and manufacturer representatives to gather the information needed to create quotations. The specialist learns Graybar’s product lines, pricing mechanics, and computer systems to prepare quotations that support profitable company sales.

Requirements

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
• High school education.

Nice To Haves

• Four or more years of experience.
• A four-year degree in Business or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of material.
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers to provide timely, accurate quotations.
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to identify and price differences for complete comparisons.
