About The Position

The Quotations Specialist manages the quotation process from receiving a request through submitting the quote to the customer. The role communicates with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and manufacturer representatives to gather information needed to prepare quotations. The specialist learns Graybar’s product lines, pricing mechanics, and computer systems to produce quotations that support profitable company sales.

Requirements

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
• High school education.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience preferred.
• A two-year degree in business or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for materials.
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers to provide accurate, on-time quotations.
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material and identify and price differences to provide complete comparisons.
