About The Position

The Quotations Specialist manages the quotation process from receipt of a request through submission of the quote to the customer. The role communicates with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and manufacturer representatives to gather the details needed to prepare quotations. The specialist learns Graybar’s product lines, pricing mechanics, and computer systems to produce accurate quotations that support profitable sales.

Requirements

Customer service and communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
High school education.

Nice To Haves

Four or more years of experience preferred.
A four-year degree in Business or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates of material.
Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information.
Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives.
Build relationships with customers and suppliers to provide timely and accurate quotations.
Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to identify and price differences for complete comparisons.
