About The Position

This role is in the Commercial Aerospace industry, operating in a fast-paced environment. The company is seeking motivated, technically capable individuals with a desire to work with aircraft tooling. The technician will collaborate with a technical measurement team, organize schedules for calibration, and ensure tooling is within specification. Strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining traceability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field
• 5+ years working in a field where technical documentation and CAD operations were main duties
• Familiarity in technical CAD programs such as CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PolyWorks
• Technical writing skills
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status) or have government authorization due to access to export-controlled technology.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with 3D measurement equipment and data processing, such as FARO Arms and Laser Trackers (Measurement Technology / Laser Scanning)
• Ability to read engineering drawings with familiarity of Tolerances, GD&T, and Datum structures
• Tracking using spreadsheet software and communication through collaborative software (Organizational Skills)
• Must interact with different manufacturing groups and provide technical and scheduling information (Communication Skills)

Responsibilities

• Track calibration expiry dates on tooling equipment
• Schedule tooling calibration efforts
• Investigate new technology to replace aging systems
• Perform calibrations on both large industrial and small handheld equipment
• Packaging and shipment of systems
• Logging equipment information
