About The Position

Standard Iron is seeking a Quality Technician II to support quality processes in its contract manufacturing operations. The role involves inspecting parts, addressing non-conformances, maintaining quality procedures, interpreting customer requirements, and supporting continuous improvement. The position requires attention to detail, measurement and blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Requirements

Basic trigonometry and math skills, including proficiency with fractions, decimals, and metric measurements.
Experience reading blueprints, including basic dimensioning, true position, and welding callouts.
Proficiency using inspection equipment, including weld gages, calipers, micrometers, height stands, and protractors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Efficiently inspect parts of moderate complexity.
Facilitate actions required for internal and external non-conformances, including customer communications.
Sustain quality procedures, systems, and requirements to assure customer satisfaction.
Interpret customer prints, specifications, weld standards, and workmanship standards.
Perform part inspections for ISIRs and other production parts as needed.
Update part-specific Control Plans as quality issues dictate.
Assist with Gage R&R and Process Capability Studies.
Participate in Tier II Triangle activities, including daily meetings supporting continuous improvement.
Coordinate calibration of metrology equipment, gages, and test equipment as needed.
