Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality or Quality Management role
  • Strong experience with customer complaint handling and 8D problem solving
  • Experience monitoring and reducing scrap and rework
  • Ability to create and implement procedures and inspection documentation
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the customer complaint process from intake through closure
  • Lead and support 8D root cause analysis, including containment, root cause determination, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues on time
  • Prepare professional customer responses and corrective action documentation
  • Track complaint trends and implement actions to prevent recurrence
  • Track, analyze, and report scrap and rework metrics
  • Identify high-cost scrap drivers and recurring defect patterns
  • Lead scrap reduction initiatives using data-driven problem solving
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process control and yield
  • Create, implement, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans
  • Establish standardized inspection methods and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure procedures are consistently followed on the shop floor
  • Maintain document control and revise procedures as processes change
  • Define and monitor key quality KPIs including scrap, complaints, and corrective action effectiveness
  • Analyze performance trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Present quality metrics and performance data to leadership
  • Plan and conduct internal audits
  • Support customer and third-party audits as required
  • Ensure timely corrective actions and compliance with requirements
  • Train employees on quality procedures, inspection methods, and problem-solving tools
  • Coach teams on root cause analysis and corrective action discipline
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
