Quality Management Nurse Consultant (Tucson, Arizona Candidates Only)
About The Position
The Quality Management Nurse supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to enhance healthcare outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The role collaborates with healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams to identify performance-improvement opportunities, analyze quality and clinical data, monitor compliance activities, and implement evidence-based practices. The nurse contributes to policies, procedures, and quality programs that promote safe, effective, high-quality patient care and support organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement. Through education, consultation, and quality oversight, the position helps drive clinical excellence, improve member outcomes, and advance healthcare quality performance.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- Must reside in Arizona and maintain an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
- Ability to travel throughout the surrounding Tucson, Arizona metropolitan area.
- Reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel locally up to 10% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with managed care.
- Computer literacy and proficiency navigating internal and external computer systems, electronic medical record systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
