About The Position

The Quality Intern supports quality assurance and production processes at Kenworth Truck Company. The role assists with reviewing QA standard work, works with production areas on root cause analysis, and supports the EWI Coordinator with the VCV rollout and implementation. The intern also assists the Area Manager with daily PQI slides and processes, analyzes plant defect data, and supports damage-team initiatives, QA inspector downtime initiatives, workshops, feedback loops, and Self and Successive Check programs. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Be a current student at an accredited college or university.
• Have good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate and clearly communicate abstract concepts.
• Demonstrate proficiency using personal computers and contemporary office productivity software.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing QA standard work.
• Work with production areas during root cause analysis.
• Assist the EWI Coordinator with the VCV rollout and implementation process.
• Assist the Area Manager with daily PQI slides and processes.
• Analyze data on defects found throughout the plant.
• Support the Damage Team on weekly initiatives and walks.
• Coordinate and work with QA inspectors on downtime initiatives and ideas.
• Support existing and future workshop initiatives.
• Support feedback loops and Self and Successive Check programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
