Quality Inspector-Harrisburg, PA (1099 Contract)
About The Position
This is a 1099 contract role for a Quality Inspector in Harrisburg, PA. The primary responsibilities include inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments, conducting inventory checks, identifying and reporting discrepancies, maintaining inspection records, and ensuring proper product handling and storage within the warehouse. The role requires travel to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and nearby areas. The project duration is typically 5 days to 1 week, but may vary based on client needs. The current project is for the Night Shift, from 6 PM to 2 AM, but project schedules may vary depending on site availability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse or logistics experience such as: Receiving/shipping clerk, Inventory associate, Picker/packer or forklift operator
- Quality control (QC) / inspection experience
- Inspecting products for damage or defects
- Sampling and testing materials
- Following inspection procedures and standards
- Shipping & receiving knowledge
- Knowledge of purchase orders, packing slips, invoices
- Experience verifying shipments and quantities
- Experience handling discrepancies (missing, damaged, incorrect items)
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders
- Verify outgoing goods before dispatch to ensure correct quantity, labeling, and condition
- Conduct routine inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy
- Identify defects, damages, or discrepancies and report findings to supervisors
- Maintain detailed inspection records, logs, and reports
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of products within the warehouse
