About The Position

Quality Inspector I performs quality-control inspection and testing of finished gaskets according to established TS16949 and ISO14001 standards. The role operates vision systems and seal-testing equipment while maintaining the production rate specified for each part. It also supports changeovers, manual inspection, gasket de-framing, packaging, troubleshooting, documentation, and department housekeeping. The inspector must follow company policies and safety procedures and may be assigned other duties or special projects.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Highly motivated.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy, including knowledge of Excel.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Metrics-driven.

Nice To Haves

BPCS experience.

Responsibilities

Operate vision systems and seal-testing equipment while maintaining the part-specific production rate.
Assist with changeovers and manual inspection as needed.
Assist with de-framing gaskets and packaging parts as needed.
Troubleshoot issues to maintain quality standards.
Complete paperwork, documentation, and BPCS/SQL transactions accurately and promptly.
Assist with general housekeeping of the department.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Adhere to company and location policies and safety rules.
Work extended hours when required.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
