About The Position

Quality Inspector I performs quality-control inspection and testing of all types of finished gaskets according to established TS16949 and ISO14001 standards. The role operates vision systems and seal-test equipment while maintaining the production rate specific to each part. The inspector also supports changeovers, manual inspection, gasket de-framing, and parts packaging as needed. This position requires accurate and timely completion of paperwork, documentation, and BPCS/SQL transactions, as well as attention to quality, safety, and department housekeeping.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Highly motivated.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literate, with knowledge of Excel.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Metrics driven.

Nice To Haves

BPCS experience.

Responsibilities

Operate all vision systems and seal-test equipment while maintaining the rate specified for each part.
Assist with changeovers and manual inspection as needed.
Assist with de-framing gaskets and packaging parts as needed.
Troubleshoot issues to maintain quality standards.
Complete paperwork, documentation, and BPCS/SQL transactions accurately and on time.
Assist with general housekeeping of the department.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties and special projects as required or assigned.
Adhere to company and location policies and safety rules.
Work extended hours when required.
