About The Position

The Quality Inspector works on Trane Columbia’s Quality Team, conducting inspections and audits according to quality standards and engineering specifications. The role reviews air handler units to identify quality issues or concerns and assist in correcting them. This is an onsite position, with work required five days per week. Flex scheduling is required, including weekends and overtime as needed, and the employee must be willing to work flexible hours.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent and three years of related work experience, or an associate degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to create reports and send and receive emails.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift.
• Experience in quality assurance and auditing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of parts and assemblies.
• Verify that engineering drawings match the product being inspected.
• Use manufacturing shop-floor systems to verify products are built to standards and provide training as needed.
• Identify, document, and record non-conforming parts and assemblies in the database.
• Work with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and assembly operators to ensure corrective measures are implemented to prevent non-conformances.
