About The Position

Lakeside Industries, Inc. is hiring a Quality Control Intern for a 10–16-week summer internship in Portland, Oregon. The intern will work with QC engineers and technicians, field supervisors, and paving crews to gain hands-on experience with asphalt testing, material inspection, and compliance standards. The opportunity is suited to students interested in civil engineering, construction management, or materials science and includes exposure to field and laboratory work, real construction projects, and industry standards. Interns receive mentorship from QC professionals and engineers and may have opportunities to return for future internships or full-time roles.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work hard while having fun.

Responsibilities

• Assist with asphalt density training.
• Work with aggregate and mix testing.
• Participate in basic mix design formulation.
• Interact with the Risk & Safety and Operations departments.
