About The Position

VSSI Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Associate to join a growing manufacturing team in Hempstead, Texas. The role helps ensure products meet quality standards through inspections, measurements, testing, and documentation. The position works in a manufacturing and machine shop environment and involves coordinating with production teams in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and inspection equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
Comfort working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform first article inspections and in-process quality inspections.
Conduct equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records.
Inspect finished products for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
Use calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Complete quality documentation and data entry accurately.
Assist with trimming and other production-related tasks as needed.
Identify and report quality concerns to supervisors and production teams.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
