About The Position

HOTEL PASEO, Autograph Collection, is seeking a Quality and Compliance Supervisor to support investigations, compliance reviews, auditing, monitoring, training, and risk mitigation. The role serves as a resource to internal stakeholders by helping interpret regulatory requirements, assess risk, and strengthen compliance operations. The hotel is part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio and is located in Palm Desert. The position oversees and supports hotel safety and security functions, incident reporting and investigations, access monitoring, staff training, certifications, fire safety, and security equipment readiness. It also involves communicating with hotel departments, guests, and staff, documenting incidents, and responding to hazardous situations, emergencies, and security threats. Nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.

Requirements

One year of security and safety experience, including some supervisory or training experience.
Fluent English speaking ability.
Communication skills for frequent interactions with guests and hotel staff.
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities, including during emergency situations.
Comfort applying policies and procedures.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a related field is recommended but not required.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Working knowledge of OSHA and safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure hotel safety and security functions are properly completed.
Assist with associate and guest reports to ensure they are accurate and submitted on time.
Maintain effective relationships with all hotel departments.
Ensure thorough investigations and reports are completed for incidents involving guests and associates.
Keep security equipment, including walkie-talkies, radios, and cameras, clean and in good working condition.
Monitor traffic in the lobby, restaurant, restrooms, garage, and room service areas to control access by non-guests and unauthorized associates.
Report associates who use unauthorized hotel entrances or exits when arriving for or leaving work.
Assist with training and educating staff on current safety and security issues and applicable company, state, and regulatory policies.
Monitor staff certifications in accordance with company and state policies.
Coordinate and train hotel staff on fire brigade and fire safety procedures, and assist with CPR classes for Security staff and other appropriate employees.
Inform management about hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to guests, employees, or hotel assets.
Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs for security equipment and ensure it is operational for the following day's work.
Document incidents and patrol the property, including meeting and greeting guests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
