About The Position

The Quality Auditor Shift Lead oversees quality assurance activities during an assigned shift in a frozen food manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, internal quality standards, and customer specifications. The Shift Lead guides Quality Auditors, verifies documentation accuracy, and ensures products meet safety and regulatory requirements before release.

The position is located in Lincoln Park, Michigan, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The listed pay rate is $19–$21, based on experience.

Requirements

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing quality assurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in cold/freezer environments for extended periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend as part of daily duties.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak and translate in both English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Quality Auditors during the assigned shift and serve as the primary quality contact on the production floor.
• Conduct and oversee finished goods inspections, net weight checks, scrap reporting, ATP testing, and sample preparation.
• Monitor and document Critical Control Points (CCPs), including cooking temperatures, pH levels, and cooling processes.
• Verify proper operation of metal detectors and perform operational sanitation inspections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety programs, and regulatory standards.
• Communicate quality concerns and corrective actions to production and management teams.
• Assist in training new auditors on procedures and compliance requirements.
