About The Position
Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Manufacturing-Quality Assurance professional at their equipment processing center in Decatur, IL. This role involves conducting pre-delivery inspections on heavy equipment and performing shipping/receiving functions. The position is responsible for maintaining the quality of all equipment throughout its lifecycle at the facility, ensuring it meets or exceeds customer requirements. The role also requires regular communication with internal and external customers, assisting with office functions like inventory and driver check-in, and utilizing various Microsoft Office applications daily. Filing paperwork and maintaining the general work area are also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- Experience operating construction and agricultural equipment, as well as lift trucks and cranes
- Ability to use smartphone technology to complete inspections and other electronic forms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of employees and management
- Strong organizational skills
- Must pass post offer drug screen and background check as a condition of hire
- Regular and punctual attendance as required
- Steel toed boots/shoes are required
- Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities
- Completing pre-delivery inspections on heavy equipment
- Performing shipping/receiving functions
- Maintaining the quality of all equipment stored at the facility during receiving, storage/preservation, exercise, pre-delivery/QA, final inspections and shipping
- Confirming that quality standards meet or exceed customer requirements
- Maintaining regular and frequent communication with both internal (Keen Customer Service, Safety, and Quality) and external customers and during audits and visits
- Assisting with office functions, such as inventory, checking drivers in and out
- Filing paperwork and housekeeping of your general area
