About The Position

The Pictsweet Company is growing and seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 2nd Shift at its frozen vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. This role is crucial for overseeing all quality systems within the flagship manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Must have five years' experience as a supervisor in manufacturing, quality assurance, or food environment.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree if less than five years' supervisory experience.
• A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring and managing all quality systems for the day-to-day production and storage of quality products manufactured under clean, safe, and wholesome conditions.
• Assuring quality conformance to specifications and expectations for all products and processes.
• Collaborating with the Quality Systems Manager on continuous improvement initiatives for product quality.
• Making rapid decisions and implementing corrective actions to ensure the production of high-quality products.
• Ensuring proper grading of raw materials.
• Learning product grading in detail and training Quality Technicians on grading performance.
• Performing regrading and hold decisions in accordance with facility SOPs.
• Training and supervising employees in Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
• Executing BRC programs at the front line and production floor level.
• Following and enforcing all Company policies and procedures, including SOPs, Employee Handbook, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP, and Pictsweet Safety Procedures.
• Complying with all regulations related to food safety and personnel safety, such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, and TOSHA.
• Working cooperatively with other departments in the plant.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
