Quality Assurance Supervisor
About The Position
Factor, a brand of HelloFresh, is seeking a QA Supervisor to lead their QA teams. The role focuses on ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation meet high-quality standards to provide the best service to customers. The supervisor will provide employee instructions, work towards continuous improvement, maintain accurate documentation, coach and train QA employees, distribute workload, and report defective materials. They will also coordinate work, resolve problems for their QA team, and occasionally inspect products or surfaces using various tools. Updating quality numbers in the computer system and data entry are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of related experience
- Expected to obtain certification as a power material handling equipment operator
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions).
- Basic computer skill knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors in food science or related field preferred but not required
- Bilingual in Spanish
Responsibilities
- Provide employee instructions on performing tasks such as QA checks, documentation, and expectations.
- Work towards continuous improvement in all areas, ensuring actions benefit the business and adhere to company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding GMPs, HACCP, processing analysis, and environmental monitoring.
- Coach QA employees to follow company procedures.
- Train new employees on standard operating procedures.
- Ensure daily workload is equally distributed based on priority and ability.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the QA Manager.
- Occasionally inspect products or surfaces using tools like thermometers, gas analyzers, food scales, etc.
- Update quality numbers in the computer system, utilizing computer programs for data entry.
- Provide guidance to employees by coordinating work and resolving problems for their QA team.
