About The Position

Responsible for the daily operation of the Quality Assurance team and activities, makes work assignments as needed to meet production and Program Participant needs. This role involves managing the Nonconformance and Corrective action process, the Internal Auditing program, and Preventive Action and Continuous Improvements. The supervisor will also track Departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), provide training and feedback to direct reports, and support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System. Additionally, the role includes participating in safety and quality investigations, providing training to Orion staff, leading departmental 6s activities, and managing time & labor corrections, performance evaluations, improvement plans, and disciplinary actions for direct reports. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Understanding of standard aerospace inspection methods
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Familiarity with Boeing Portal, SQIS, and Exostar
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collectively
  • Customer service skills; able to relate well to all customers internal as well as external customers
  • Must be a US Person (US citizen; lawful permanent legal resident or an individual who has been admitted as a refugee or asylee) due to ITAR regulations
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including for marijuana and cannabis metabolites) and background screening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting & conducting AS9100 audits is preferred
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certificate preferred, or equivalent experience conducting and leading internal audits along with creating audit checklists & schedules
  • Familiarity with Boeing Portal, SQIS, and Exostar

  • Responsible for performance evaluations, improvement plans and disciplinary actions for direct reports
