About the Role Due to an internal promotion, Babcock is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Western Australia supporting our Marine operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance & Governance, this is a fantastic opportunity to influence quality strategy, drive continuous improvement, and partner with operational leaders across a complex and highly regulated environment. As a trusted business partner, you will lead the implementation, governance and continual improvement of quality management systems across our Marine operations, ensuring the highest standards of performance, compliance and operational excellence. You will work closely with key stakeholders to embed a strong quality culture, deliver audit and assurance programs, manage quality investigations, and provide expert guidance on regulatory and customer requirements. This role is ideal for a proactive and collaborative quality professional who enjoys building strong relationships, driving meaningful improvements, and creating positive business outcomes. Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
  • AQF Level 8 Qualification or Equivalent in the Field of Quality Risk Management and or a transferable engineering related qualification.
  • Chartered Member/Equivalent Level or actively working towards Chartered Member of a recognised Professional Quality Body.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and practices, with expertise in auditing, risk and incident management, culture, sustainability, planning, and strategic quality leadership.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a complex, highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, governance and continual improvement of quality management systems across our Marine operations.
  • Ensure the highest standards of performance, compliance and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to embed a strong quality culture.
  • Deliver audit and assurance programs.
  • Manage quality investigations.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, quality professionals and industry stakeholders to influence quality strategy, policies and objectives.
  • Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across the organisation.
