Quality Assurance Intern
About The Position
CF&I Steel, L.P. is seeking a summer Quality Assurance Intern for its Rocky Mountain Steel Mills team in Pueblo, Colorado. The internship is approximately four weeks. The intern will work alongside Quality System Coordinators to update and optimize the newly implemented electronic quality management system (EQMS), which supports certification requirements for several product lines. The role also offers opportunities to assist with documentation for the new long rail mill and other mills, learn about manufacturing processes, and contribute to projects that improve workflow. The position provides exposure to a new state-of-the-art rail facility.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an engineering or technical degree.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in an industrial environment.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA.
Responsibilities
- Update and optimize documents, pages, and attachments in the EQMS for optimal system performance.
- Assist Quality System Coordinators with documentation in preparation for API, ISO, AAR, and other certification audits.
- Learn about processes involved in products manufactured at Rocky Mountain Steel Mills.
- Participate in internal audits.
